"As the sun spills onto Glanusk Park, I head
to the main stage just in time for Gwildor.
Their mix of gentle acoustics and
chamber-popesque narrative glides
wonderfully over the crowd like the sunshine
itself."

"A quick look at the programme sees that
Gwildor, a cheerfully mellow Wrexham band,
are the openers on the Main Stage. And quite
right too; any knotty bluster can be saved
for later (Dead Meadow), so to sit (yes, sit,
it's not muddy yet) and to admire the
spectacular panoramic mountains that stand
before you, you need some gently persuasive
tunes to join you and your new best friends,
Dave Cider and Howard Beef-Chorizo Pie.
Gwildor fit that bill and sound in fine fettle:
a likeable mixture of Belle & Sebastian and
Gorky's Zygotic Mynci, they're given a
rumbling gravitas through vocalist Andrew
Saloman, whose low-end delivery recalls a less
earthy David Gedge and British Sea Power's
Yan."
